I started using sspm, so now I am up to date with SVN.

Do we really need a tmp file for the diff itself?  One major
difference between the patches is that my implementation creates the
diff only when it is called upon.  The only disadvantage to this would
be if someone wante to view the diff over and over again.  The
advantage is that you don't have to have all of these lines cleaning
up the tmp file.

I'll add the DIFF and DIFFOPS in and see what else can be merged.

Perhaps I should get on IRC...
