I saw your post at the LQ forum about the commit but that commit isn't present in the sbopkg version 0.38.1 available to download at www.sbopkg.org, maybe it is in the sbopkg-dev only? I edited the line 'eval LEFT=\$$i' in /usr/sbin/sbopkg (line numer is 967) to 'eval LEFT=\${$i}' and ran 'sbopkg -c' again, and compton doesn't show as update anymore. Thanks for your attention.
