From l0k1 at free.fr Sun Jul 23 13:30:36 2017 From: l0k1 at free.fr (l0k1) Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2017 15:30:36 +0200 Subject: [sbopkg-users] a very tiny patch to speed up in a rare case Message-ID: Hello, I send you this tiny patch, it's to speed up a bit in the rare case the user has an empty source cache and still wants to check the obsolete packages, in this case I added a quick flag to exit before starting the loop from the actual sources list. I know it is rare and almost cosmetic but it bit me two time this year :D) Feel free to use it or not, improve it or modify it as you like (for instance having a different message as "cache empty" instead of "no obsolete sources") Cheers PS: I attached two versions of the patch, one against version 0.38.1 and the other against the git as of today Loki Harfagr -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... We'll be doing some hardware swaps that require stopping all services on the machine prior to making the drive to the datacenter, which is why the downtime is measured in hours as opposed to minutes. There's simply no good way to do otherwise without causing some inconvenience to Teklinks, and they've been good to us, so I don't want to do that. Services affected will include the following: https://harrier.slackbuilds.org https://lists.slackbuilds.org https://mirrors.slackware.com http://arm.slackware.com http://alien.slackbook.org http://slackbook.org http://slackpkg.org http://rlworkman.net http://slackpkg.org The usual web, ftp, and git services of SBo will *not* be affected, as those are hosted on a different machine. -RW -- Willy Sudiarto Raharjo
