Hi all,

Thanks for the comments. "This guy" is still learning quite a bit
about Linux even after more than two years of daily use. Although I
spend a lot of time at the CLI, sbopkg is the first application I've
used that called an editor, therefore it's the first that prompted me
to set the editor environmental variable. I'd done a lot with
my .bashrc, but not that.

Frankly, I run a lot of stuff from within a terminal in Emacs from a
virtual terminal. Having vi start within Emacs was a little
freaky. :-)

Nevertheless, after reading the comments and doing a little more
research, I can see how my comment in the article was off-base.
