It's helpful, whenever anyone's making reports, to say how a package is
being built. 'sbopkg -i'? Is the argument a package, a list of packages,
a queuefile? Or is it done using the dialog UI? If so, by what menu
route? Direct search, browsing, from queue, etc.?

I can't reproduce this - it just built fine for me. If you can give me
any hints about how to reproduce or if you can reproduce and can attach
a trace log, I'll look into it further. Or maybe Chess can reproduce and
he can help you.
