Drew, once you check out the SVN using these instructions:

http://code.google.com/p/sbopkg/source/checkout

Then all you really need to do is either navigate into the local SVN
directory that was just created and run the svn sbopkg directly (it's
at /trunk/src/usr/bin/sbopkg) or you could copy that file over to your
/usr/bin, overwriting any other version of sbopkg installed.

Sbopkg is just a shell script, so there is nothing to 'compile'.  The
'tools' directory contains the SlackBuild and other bits that are used
when I create the package, so you could also export the /trunk/src
directory, and build a pakckage.

Ultimately, for testing purposes, I suggest just running
/trunk/src/usr/bin/sbopkg.  That's the easiest.
